...The Half-Year Mark...

I cannot believe my little girl will be 6 months old in 12 short days. Everyone always tells you, "Time flies." Well, as cliche as it sounds...It's totally true. Honestly, I think I may shed some tears on her half-birthday! She is just growing beautifully. I am so blessed and so lucky to have such a perfect little girl after all that we went through to get her here safely.

I haven't noticed too many preemie set-backs thus far. She's rolling over (back to front and front to back), wiggling, squirming, holding her head up when she's on her belly, laughing, cooing, drooling, holding her own ba-ba for a good amount of time, following Momma and Daddy with her eyes, and she certainly perks up when she hears our voices. The only things we're waiting on is to REALLY start eating some pureed baby foods and sitting up unsupported. Well, the 'm' key just fell off of the laptop. So, enough typing! Here is a pretty recent picture of the little Peach!
Hope all is well with everyone!

..."Love Will Keep Us Together"...

Love will keep us together!

Dadda and Momma

Nakie Baby!

Momma and Lillie

Cutest little baby butt ever!

Lillie is doing fabulously! She is over ten pounds! (We must really feed her well!) She is just a few days away from being 3 months old. I can't believe that time could possibly fly so fast. I guess the days goes by more quickly once you have kiddos. We're so lucky that Zachary has a good job (not to mention that he works a million hours) so I'm able to stay home with her right now and take care of her, watch her grow and see her learn to do new things. I tell her everyday just how lucky she is to have a daddy like Zac. Because it is true! Without him she'd be off in some daycare, with a dozen snotty-sneezy-coughing-germy children running around her. Which, I've been told, is not all that conducive to a healthy preemie baby! (Or any kid for that matter.) She has just started to smile at Momma...ON PURPOSE! It's the most glorious thing to see too. Honestly, how could seeing that big ol' gummy smile not make me smile?! Impossible! I mean she has pretty much been doing the grinning thing while she falls asleep and when she's gassy for a while (which was cute)...But this new big smile that she found is priceless. Ahhh!
We are still trying to get rid of her awful reflux. I know it must be super uncomfortable for her. Especially since she's known to cry right before her food shoots out of her nose. That to me says "owwy". Poor baby. I tried rice cereal first, because I thought it would be a good idea to try a non-drug way to fix the problem. That plan bombed. But I do think we'll keep her on it because it satisfies her for longer. I'm not sure that most 3 month olds still eat every 2-3 hours. With the cereal atleast we get a little closer to going 3 hours between feedings. I guess that's a plus. So anyway, we have her on Zantac. She has been on that for 4 days now...and so far it hasn't made all that much of an improvement. Maybe a small one. I don't know if I'm expecting too much out of the Zantac, but I'm pretty sure I'd like to find something that gets rid of her spitting up all the time completely. I know that babies spit up, but I don't think shooting it out your nose is normal! That's what I want to get rid of for her.
Let's see...Zachary and I are doing just fine. He's tired because he works like a mad-man. I'm getting used to my wierd sleep schedule finally. He cut all of his hair off. I got mine cut too, but his is more impressive considering he had longer hair than me for our ENTIRE relationship. I had never even seen him with short hair. Um, I love it. It's pretty darn wonderful. Of course, I loved it long too. I just love him in general! My sister took some pictures of the three of us a month ago. Yes, I realize I don't blog on here very often...I'll try to be better. But here they are. Up above, apparently. Because for some unknown reason it ALWAYS likes to put the pictures I upload above my text. Which, I find to be annoying! UGH. And that's why I don't blog on here often!
Be well!

...My babe...

I just wanted to share some photos of Lillie. Because, I'm obviously a proud Momma! I can't believe that in just 7 days we will be at her original due date. Gosh, I can't believe my baby is going to be two months old already. Of course, she still looks like a brand new born and certainly acts like one... Anyway, if I can make it through these next several months with no sleep I should be fully able to conquer the world! I'll be able to do ANYTHING. So, here are some pictures of Lillie! Her hospital picture @ 32 days old, we got to go home the very next day. Her very first Superbowl, she's -8 days adjusted. And maybe just some random cuteness.

"Dear Sleep, I miss you so. I can't wait for the day you return to me. Please, come back soon. Love, Ashlie."

That's my love letter. Ha.

...Pictures...

The Firetower
The Abbey in Black and White
Zaccy and his family. (I'm taking the photo, of course!)

...Weekend Fun...

So, everyone knows that the weather in Indiana can be SO unpredictible. Saturday was SO gorgeous. We decided to take advantage of the sunshine and went for a little trip to Ferdinand, IN. We went to the State Forest and to the Archabbey. Here are some of the pictures. While it was sunny, it was still a little chilly. But we still decided to climb up the old Fire Tower.

We had a lot of fun and it was so refreshing to say the least!

...TN Vacation Con't...

Okay, I have to be honest...It was SO hard to leave there and come home. Zac and I both feel right at home in the mountains...Maybe one day, if we're rich, we'll retire there...And live in a cabin just like this one!

...Our Beautiful TN Vacation...

Zac and I had the absolute pleasure of visiting the great Smokey Mountains again this year for our vacation (much needed). Here are some awesome pictures of our trip. It was so relaxing and lovely...We even took a little time out of our busy schedule of complete R and R to go up in a chopper to see the awesome views that Pigeon Forge had to offer! While it was breathtaking, I'm glad the chopper ride wasn't ANY longer...My stomach couldn't handle another minute of it. Take a look!

...Painted Flowers...

Here's my latest painting....I'm not even sure what kind of flowers these are...But, they are pretty! I can't decide whether or not to keep it or give it away! Eeeek! I'll have to think about it a little more.

...Artiste!...

On Thursdays I go and paint with a small group of ladies. It's completely relaxing and enjoyable. I'm really getting into it! This is the first piece that I have completed. I just love it. Hopefully, I'll get much better as time goes on. Ooh, and my loving husband bought me this easel too! How COOL is that?! Thanks, Baby!
